floppy disk

There are those who might say that you should just spell "F-L-O-P--P-Y" since they say that floppy disks aren't floppy.  Well, they used to be at one time before they started making them with rigid plastic shells--and that is good enough for me.  So I use a version of the sign FLEXIBLE and then I spell "D-I-S--K."  But really, who even mentions floppy disks any more? Are you doing historical research or what?

FLOPPY DISK:
Do the sign for FLEXIBLE and then spell "DISK."

DISK:  Either spell it (which is what I usually do), or you can use a "D handshape" to draw a circle on your base hand.
