Many Deaf and/or other skilled signers just fingerspell the word "beach"
when referring to a beach.
For example, a person might sign SMALL (fs)-BEACH CITY to mean "a small
beach town."
There are quite a few ways to produce the movement for BEACH. Do NOT get
hung up on any particular direction of the movement or orientation of
the hands because in real life there are probably a dozen different
versions of this sign. In general though most of the versions
wiggle the fingers of the dominant hand as the dominant hand passes over
the non-dominant hand -- as if representing water flowing over a surface
(in this case "sand").
Memory aid: Think of the water
splashing up on the shore then retracing back to the ocean.

Okay, I'm going to say this again because some of you just can't get over how
fun it is to do the sign for "beach" -- MANY SKILLED SIGNERS JUST SPELL
BEACH!
You want to sign like a Deaf person? Then get over your need to do the
cool, splashy (ha) version of signs and instead do the fast, effective version
and stop wasting time (yours and the time of your conversation partner).
BEACH:
Beach: Variation: "A wave splashing up toward me."
It is okay to just fingerspell BEACH -- particularly if you are not being poetic and are just engaged in everyday basic communication:
Sample sentence: Tomorrow I'm happy because I'm going on vacation to the beach for 3 days.
Daytona Beach:
After context has been established you can sign Daytona Beach by just
fingerspelling "DB."
