GRACEFUL: The American Sign Language (ASL) sign for "graceful"




GRACEFUL (version 1)

Incorporate a graceful aspect into the verb.  The concept of "graceful" often expressed in ASL by simply by doing some other sign in a graceful (flowing, smooth, delicate) manner. 
For example if you were to sign DANCE you could do it in a larger flowing way with a serene, peaceful look on your face.
Another example would be do to the MOVE sign but do it in a graceful way.
 



GRACEFUL (version 2)

Use a sign such as:

or...
GLIDE / slick / flowing / https://youtu.be/z_Y7QZQv3Gc
 



GRACEFUL (version 3)

 

Choose a sign that is a synonym of one of the meanings of "graceful" that matches the context of the particular situation:

FLEXIBLE / nimble / supple https://youtu.be/kD8IproL1DA

SKILL / skilled / talented / very good at https://youtu.be/jVovA5JbRfQ

FANCY / fashionable / elegant / dignified https://youtu.be/XfGTE4a91QE

FASHION / elegant / style / stylish https://youtu.be/MvY7H53mqY4

GLIDE / slick / flowing / https://youtu.be/z_Y7QZQv3Gc

 



Notes: 
When my wife (Bee) and I want to tease each other post-non-graceful action by sarcastically referring to the other person as "graceful" we do so by using the sign SMOOTH.
