An ASL student named Stephanie asks:
"Can you tell me how to sign "rejoice"? Several online websites show the sign
for "festival" or "celebration," but I found one youtube video with two R hands
twirling."
Thank you,
- Stephanie
Hello Stephanie,
The "R" hands version is "Signed English" and not ASL.
I encourage you to avoid the idea of a one-to-one equality of ASL and English.
CELEBRATE is probably the closest you are going to find to a match.
However the sign HAPPY might be added.
