There are several ways to express the concept of "disorder" in ASL. The right way depends on your concept and the situation.
If you mean "disorder" as in screwed up or chaos -- then see the sign "SCREW-UP"
(messed up).
If you mean "disorder" as in a "problem" then use one of the versions of the
sign for PROBLEM.
If you mean "disorder" as in a sickness or disease then you could use the
inflected version of SICK (the version that uses the small rotational movement)
to mean disorder.
If you mean disorder in a medical sense -- as in a sickness -- on first
reference it would be good to spell out the term "disorder" and then after you
are sure that your conversation partner or client is familiar with the term (and
you are discussing a medical disorder) then on second, and later usage (of the
term "disorder") abbreviating it would be a time-saver / carpal-tunnel
preventer.
However, if the term "disorder" is not something with which your conversation
partner or client is familiar then adding signs such as "problem" or "messed up"
is very commonly accepted as well.
