HOUSEHOLD: The American Sign Language (ASL) sign for "household"

Question:
"How do you sign the word household?"

Answer:
Sometimes there isn't a specific sign in widespread use.

The word "household" doesn't have a particular sign that is specifically glossed as HOUSEHOLD and/or reserved exclusively to mean "household."

A household is "a house and its occupants regarded as a unit" (source: Oxford dictionary).

Often the concept of "household" is expressed simply by a combination of the sign HOUSE plus strong context provided by the rest of your message:
HOUSE + (context)

When a "household" consists of a family it would be common to just sign "FAMILY" or "FAMILY LIVE THAT HOUSE."

If you have already made it clear that you are discussing "people who live in a a house" -- later in the same conversation you could sign HOUSE GROUP-[non-initialized] or even "THAT GROUP-[non-initialized]."

Here are a few other approaches to signing "household" to consider:
LIVE THAT HOUSE
HOUSE, LIVE THERE
LIVE HIS/HER/THEIR HOUSE
PEOPLE LIVE EACH HOUSE
EACH HOUSE AMERICA
...etc.
